...and the gate was for what?

We did put in a gate, but for what? My little Auti can climb that gate and hop on over. She has been able to do that ever since we put it in (April 2007).


On this particular occassion, Auti climbed the gate to let Jacob ride his tricycle around and around. She proped the other gate open with a rock, but as you can see, I was out side with the camera. The kids laughed, a lot.


The outfit that Auti is wearing is from an old dress up box that Heather (Law) Record gave me back when Alyssa was much younger. The girls have just about worn all these outfits out.

Six Mile Hike

I planned on going for a hike/run on this day, but Amber and Auti wanted to come along. So, we packed our little pink bags (that we got from Hawaiian Airlines on our 1st trip to Hawaii in 2007) with several snacks and water and commenced our excursion. I have to admit, the girls had a great urge of energy, since of humor and power of determination. They hiked all the way to the top of Sunrise Trail (Lost Dog Wash), three miles. This is were we stopped, enjoyed the view and of course ate our snacks. I usually do not hike with my camera, but I did want a picture. I took a few, not many, but this was the best of the two girls.

The girls never complained, but Auti did trip and skin her knee on our way back down. By the time we had finished, both girls said they would do it again. Therefore, a successful hike!

The outfit Amber is wearing, was once Alyssa's. Snoopy is on the front of the shirt. I thought it was a perfect outfit for the hiking day. Nice and cool. Auti's outfit was once Amber's. I bought this outfit in Rapid City, South Dakota a few years earlier when I took a trip with my girls and my mother to see my brothers.
